CLI's open water application vessels provide aquatic herbicide and algaecide applications utilizing our new “State of the Art” Pro Applicator® automated aquatic herbicide application system.  The Pro Applicator® utilizes a Controller Area Network (CAN) system that is comprised of independent, intelligent modules connected by a single high speed cable, know as a bus, over which all data in the system travels.  In the system, there are three modules, the Power Speed Module, the Switch Sense Module, and the Product Control Module that each contain their own microprocessors and share a standard communication sequence that conforms to ISO 11898 standards.  The modules are connected via an on board computer system to a Trimble sub meter GPS receiver beacon and a Swath XL Lightbar for system positioning and guidance.

The MarshMog™ is the newest addition to CLI’s Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Equipment Line.  With a ground pressure of 0.61 psi (pounds per square inch), the MarshMog™ has a footprint lower then the average wetland restoration specialist, and thus will have less impact to sensitive aquatic ecosystems then conventional restoration methods.  The MarshMog™ can operate in wet soil types where humans cannot walk, and in water depths of up to two (2) foot.  For Aquatic Herbicide Applications, the MarshMog™ has been fitted with CLI’s standard technology that includes our “State of the Art” Pro Applicator® automated aquatic herbicide application system.  Treatment areas are recorded via the use of a Trimble DGPS Pathfinder Pro XRS receiver beacon supported by ArcView 8 GIS software for the production of aquatic vegetation treatment maps to document the treatment areas.

The use of US-EPA approved and registered Aquatic Herbicides and Algaecides is one of the most effective ways to control aquatic weeds and algae.  Aquatic Herbicides and Algaecides provide effective and rapid control, and can be used in a variety of situations.

Clean Lakes, Inc. offers a variety of herbicide and algaecide options for the control of unwanted aquatic vegetation.  We start with a professional consultation that includes identification of the nuisance weeds and/or algae, followed by an accurate measurement of the treatment area, utilizing GPS/GIS technology if necessary.  We then recommend a treatment protocol and can provide the required services to obtain the necessary permits, and apply the herbicide and/or algaecide.  CLI also has the ability to provide water quality monitoring. If you would like more information on aquatic herbicide and algaecide vegetation control, please feel free to call us at 877-FIX-LAKE or email us at info@cleanlake.com
