Biological, Mechanical, and the use of Aquatic Herbicides and algaecides are the typical technologies available to combat nuisance growths of aquatic vegetation.

Biological control techniques utilize biological control agents such as fish, insects, pathogens and bacteria's for the control of plants, algae and the nutrients they require to thrive.

Mechanical control technologies utilize machines that are designed to meet specific requirements.  Aquatic Plant Harvesters are effective for the control of submerged, floating and some emergent plants, while the Aquamog and the Cookie Cutter provide for the control of emergent species.
