Glossary of Terms

Description:  Leaves large, heart-shaped, commonly 8 to 16 inches (20 to 40 cm) long.  Leaf veins extend laterally from the midrib.  Flower is bright yellow, with a single row of petals.  Spreads horizontally from rhizome similar to White Water Lily.

Distribution:  Prefer muck or silt bottom in stagnant, shallow areas.
